The Challenge
In-order to meet increasingly elevated pressures of enhanced service delivery it has become mandatory for departments at operational level within the trust to engage systems and processes that can help managers make better day to day business decisions. These decisions made by individual departments can impact the trust globally by targeting weaker negative performance indicators, identifying and reallocating under-spend monetary resources and help achieve total control on overspend by monitoring and staying within allocated budgets. This will ultimately help in better provision of patient care. It was also realised that a system was required which could help in effective departmental level governance achieve operational transparency complimenting internal audit processes. |
The Solution
Over a period of 6 months and through a series of detailed consultations and analysis with departments such as Research and Development iWeb was able to deliver system- “Quality Operations Live”. The distributed scalable enterprise system is a 3 tier application having a windows and a web interface. The system has been developed using Microsoft .Net tools with a solid SQL Server backend. Integrated and In-depth reporting has been achieved by Crystal Reports. |

The system has substantially reduced the time taken to access current up-to-date financial data by departments such as R&D from 6-8 weeks to 0. Real-time information can now be accessed by literally click of a button.
